All our storage furniture is made in Portugal, namely Paços de Ferreira, Paredes, Barcelos and Leiria. In Portugal, there is an abundance of skills and know-how. There is also a collective heritage that stays genuine. This is why we have passion for our country and a conviction: our location is special and our people make the difference.

Besides this, 30 kms from us is one of the first wine-producing regions of the world – Douro Valley. And also a landscape and heritage that gives us energy and creativity, making us feel good. Our finest task is to design and manufacture quality products that last for generations. Packaging, type of materials and the recycling of the product are aspects we consider in the design development, to extend the durability of every single storage product.

All the storage products by DAM are guaranteed for a period of 2 years. It includes problems concerned with production or material faults. During this time we will repair or replace the products. The warranty excludes all damages caused by improper usage, negligence or natural wearing out of the product.

Our timber storage products are made from American white oak, American black walnut, European ash from sustainable farms. We use only the highest grade timber available, FAS First and Seconds, with the fewest knots and most consistent grain patterns. And this timber is only available from sustainable farms, as the regular monitoring, pruning, replanting, and general care of the trees on managed forests is what creates planks of this quality.

With the veneer, there is less wood consumption. Veneer consists of very thin layers of wood glued together, and this technique ensures a uniform appearance regardless of the size of your furniture. Veneer enables the disposal of the most visible or striking growth rings and knots, giving furniture in veneer a calmer, cleaner finish.

At DAM, we believe that natural and authentic materials create furniture that lasts. We spend a long time designing and producing our furniture to achieve the best quality. Correct care will extend the life of your furniture. When you’ll receive your new DAM storage product, please check the care and maintenance tips.

Keep your new storage pieces away from direct sunlight. The discoloration will happen over time if left in the sun. Use a dry, soft cotton cloth to clean your piece or a vacuum cleaner. Do not use detergent or any cleaning product, only water (but it also should be avoided). Avoid the contact with acid liquids, because it could create stains. And most important, give them all your love.

Veneer lives and breathes in the same way as solid wood. Veneer is therefore affected by heat, cold, light and the space in which it is located. Choose a place in your home where your furniture is not directly adjacent to a radiator, wood stove or panoramic window, and be sure to provide your furniture with plenty of wood oil – and preferably apply it a couple of times a year.

On the vast majority of solid wood furniture, you can sand scratches and small marks down and reapply oil or care products to recreate the original shine of your furniture. However, we always recommend that you contact us before you start sanding your furniture.

It depends on the products. In case of damage, we can deliver the drawers, the drawer slides, the wallpaper or the lampshades separately. Please contact us and we will analyze case by case, giving you feedback as soon as possible, so you can quickly enjoy your DAM product to the fullest.

In the event of a component or the entire chair being damaged, or in the case of the end of its use cycle, the bedside tables, wardrobe and drawer chest are 100% recyclable. The wallpaper should be separated and proceed to the ecopoint dedicated to paper. The lamps, the power plug, the electric cable should be separated and proceed to the ecopoint dedicated to the electrical items. The wooden structure proceeds to the production of new wood derivatives or combustion.

However, the DAM brand is committed to providing all the necessary support in the repair, supply of components or maintenance products such as: putty for cork, wood or finishing grooves. In the case of products still in use, the brand undertakes to negotiate the acquisition and collection of such products.
